"The Foxes" by Franz Marc, 1913 Stationery Card

A pair of red foxes emerges from a fragmented landscape of angular geometric planes, their bodies rendered in warm scarlets and burnt oranges against darker tones of black, green, and blue. The composition breaks the animals into crystalline facets that echo the Cubist dismantling of form, creating a sense of movement and tension between the creatures and their splintered environment. Printed on smooth white card stock and made to order, artwork on the front, blank inside, envelopes included in every set. A handwritten note that arrives as an independent artist's work.
